Edging
Edging (also called surfing, peaking, teasing, and more) is the practice of stopping yourself from ejaculating right when you’re on the cusp — the metaphorical “edge” right before you fall off the cliff into sexual climax/ejaculation.
The benefits of edging are:
Learn how to control and delay ejaculation
Learn how to separate ejaculation from orgasm
Increase sexual energy in the body
Exercise the pelvic floor muscles
Massage/”exercise” the prostate gland
How do I do edging:
Step 1: I pleasure myself up to a peak (somewhere around a 9-9.5 out of 10 for how close I am to ejaculation).
Step 2: I stay in the upper range (9-9.5) as long as possible, but when I feel like I am at risk of ejaculating, I “cool” myself down using the STAB*) technique:
Squeeze: Squeeze your PC muscles HARD like you’re doing an intense kegel. Hold for at least 10 seconds, but the longer you can hold the more you’ll come down. (A few shorter holds, or a bunch of 1 second ones can work too)
Think: Think about something else
Avoid: Change your stroke (avoid the head) instead of stopping entirely
Breathe: Take deep, diaphragmatic (with your stomach) breath
Step 3: After I “cool down” to a 5-7 out of 10, I go back to step 1.
I repeat these steps until I feel done. More times than not I do NOT ejaculate at the end in order to keep my sexual energy up.
NOTE: I usually watch some of my favorite porn while edging. But I have heard from other men that if they watch porn it is more difficult for them to stay aware of how close they are to ejaculation. So see what works best for you.
